Distraction on a Winter's Day

This beautiful snowflake sun catcher from a1debsglass caught my eye because it really is much nicer than all the snow I have seen so far this winter! I found it while looking through CGGE shops for beautiful glass that reminds me of winter. But then the word "sun" led me down another path. The Dark, Beautiful Days of January

Here we are, in the midst of winter where our creative influences may run to the icy cold days many of us have this time of year. I try to find as much beauty as I can around me when everything is a bit less colorful in the world. I've seen the rising crescent moon out my kitchen window; beautiful against the still dark morning sky, the crows that gather in the tree near my house early each morning as if to talk of the days plans before heading off for their days work, the various animal tracks found in the snow.
