Father's Day Glass Gifts

It's not too early to be thinking about a gift for the man in your life. Father's Day is coming next month and we have plenty of glass items for your Dad, Grandad or partner. Forget socks, beer or candy - buy him something that will last forever.

This original 5" x 7" dyed fabric background highlights the sandbrushed Chinook Salmon on the glass. This technique produces an almost 3D scene. created by Judy Matechuk.
Fun and funky fused glass cufflinks with black, lime green and pink fused glass discs. These cufflinks almost look like candy by Glassprimitif.

Glass business card holder with leaves in it. They are hard to see in the picture but this is an awesome business card holder! Created by Chris1.

Brides, are you looking for that perfect groomsmen's gift? Art de Fleur suggests fused glass cufflinks. Cufflinks add color and style to your groomsmen.

With the big come back of gardening this year, I have decided that it is time to revive my once very popular veggie series. This "Three Carrot" dish is 18" long x 6" wide and made by Adamsonglass.

Lots more glorious glass to be found here with the Creative Glass Guild of Etsy.

The CGGE Challenge

Here at the Creative Glass Guild we love to set ourselves a challenge and this month's glass challenge is all about SUMMER!
"Summer" ---that wonderful time of year when temperatures climb and we get out and head for the beach, mountains and family gatherings. It’s also the time of year that our gardens and yards are in bloom and Mother Earth is reveling in all her beauty.
The CGGE’s August Challenge is to design a work using "Summer" as your inspiration. Entries will be accepted in stained, fused, lampworked and mosaic glass mediums. The contest will begin August 1 and will end promptly at midnight on August 25th. Each CGGE member may submit up to three entries. All entries must be posted on
CGGE Challenge Group on Flickr.
Voting will be open to everyone on Etsy and the winner will be featured on the CGGE Home Page.
Let your imagination soar, head for the studio and design, design, design!
Please note: entries are open to CGGE members only but all votes can be cast on Etsy. More information about voting coming soon.
