Street Team Newsletters~ Sign up and Win FREE Goodies!

In the spirit of helping and sharing success stories with new and upcoming Street Teams, I thought it would be helpful to highlight a marketing concept that works!

Several months ago, Ahna of the Eclectic Jewelry Artisans (EJA) and the Spirit of Dark Art, started advertising the EJA newsletter with a marketing concept designed to get people to visit their team website and sign up for their newsletter. It’s very simple, an item or prize package is donated by the team member, and it is given away at regular intervals, for example, the of the month or end of the quarter, in a drawing from the newsletter subscribers.

Since then, the CGGE contacted Ahna and asked her if we too could use this marketing tactic, she was happy to share the idea and now several other street teams are also successfully utilizing this tactic to encourage newsletter subscriptions!

Newsletters are a great way to share your team goings-on with others and include coupons, promos and other interesting articles!

Currently, I know of at least 4 street teams that offer regular prize drawings from their newsletter subscription lists:
EJA

CGGE
Spirit of Dark Art
EGA

Please visit these sites, by clicking on the banners or hyperlinked text, sign up to receive the informative newsletters and you might just win a fabulous prize!

**IF your team has a newsletter and wants to encourage increased subscription, try offering a FREE monthly prize! Let me know if I missed you on the list above and we’ll include you on the next one.

Thanks and good luck street teams!

Do You Love Candles and Soap? CIG Reviews 2 of Her Favorites!

I thought I'd get the ball rolling and be the first Creative Glass Guild of Etsy (CGGE) member to feature one of my favorite Etsy sellers in the form of a mini-review! I really hope more of our members will keep this feature going and submit mini-reviews of products or sellers that they adore!

If you have an addiction for handmade SOAPS and SOY CANDLES, check this seller out!

She is AuntieDi & she sells in two shops on Etsy.

ShineYourHineySoapCo is her shop for her handmade soaps,

and AuntieDis is her shop for her handmade candles and jewelry.

I have purchased from her multiple times and given the candles and soaps as gifts to some my very favorite people. I really hope everybody checks this seller out, tell her creationsinglass sent you! I am absolutely pleased with all of my purchases and I am a repeat customer! Look for special deals from this seller on Saturday nights, she is a frequent Saturday Night Special participant!
AuntieDis' CANDLES:

My absolute favorite candle scent is the Raspberry Coconut Creme soy candle. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. It is sweet and fruity, and lasts and lasts. I also tried a new scent, Southern Summer, it is fruity and flowery at the same time, described as "This candle truly embodies sitting on your front porch in the deep south. The juicy, ripe scent of peaches, fresh bloomed Magnolia blossoms, and red, ripe raspberries." I like it but I still LOVE the Raspberry Coconut Creme! I love to burn these candles to cover up cooking smells and to burn in my beautiful stained glass candle holder that my Mom made for me, it's so relaxing!

Shine Your Hiney SOAPS:

What are my favorite soap scents? I have been back for the Sandalwood Silk and Shea Butter soap many times. It's a unisex scent and my husband even loves it. The bar lasts a long time and lathers beautifully. I've tried other sandalwood scents in other soaps, and by far this one is my favorite! I just recently discovered another favorite scent, the Hawaiian Breeze soap. It really reminds me of Hawaii, and I love the fun shapes!

Please be sure to click the links in the review above to visit the shops and the actual items referred to in the review. Thanks for reading!

Thanks for your time, now get shopping!

Creative Glass Guild of Etsy~August Challenge: Glass ACEO's

Creative Glass Guild of Etsy~ August Challenge: Glass ACEO’s

The Creative Glass Guild of Etsy (CGGE) would like to announce our August Team Challenge! During the month of July, CGGE members rose to the challenge of creating “Glass ACEO’s”
What are ACEO’s? ACEO stands for 'Art Cards, Editions and Originals'. They are collectible miniature artworks that can be created in any variety of media - originals or prints. The main "rule" is that they measure 3.5 x 2.5 inches. Many ACEO buyers are collectors and some will either buy larger pieces or recommend you to friends who may purchase from you."The art on the cards can be done in any media: textile arts, pencil, watercolor, acrylic, oil, collage, scratch board, mixed media, assemblage, digital art, calligraphy, beadwork, rubber stamps, carved soft block stamps, pen and ink, colored pencil, airbrush, and many others - anything artists use." Wikipedia

During the month of August we will continue to create new Glass ACEO’s and would like to invite ALL Glass Artists on Etsy to participate. We will be featuring the Glass Aceo’s on our website
http://www.cgge.org/challenge.aspx and we will be creating a number of treasuries to include all participating glass artists.

If you would like your Glass ACEO submission to be featured in a treasury, please be sure to tag it Glass, and ACEO and convo
creationsinglass or GetGlassy with your item link, so we can be sure to add it to our glass ACEO list.
Thanks for participating in this super fun challenge proposed by our very own
matechuk!
